From my own personal experience, one of the best flies to use on the Lake Erie Tributaries for catching steelhead is the "Sucker Spawn".

My hand tied flies are made with angora yarn, flashabou for the tail, and quality hooks. These have been tested by myself and fellow Lake Erie steelhead fisherman with great success.
